E3 2017 - Games I'm looking forward to (Part 3, the end)

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is an annual videogame convention, where those in the industry can share what they've been working on.

This is the last set of games I was excited to see as an Xbox fan.

The Artful Escape by Beethoven & Dinosaur is very interesting. It looks like a psychedelic musical platformer. I've seen some gameplay of it, where some basic platforming was shown, as well as simon-says type bits where you have to remember a sequence, and repeat it back. The gameplay demos weren't as cool as the trailer, but I'm going to keep on eye on this.

Super Lucky's Tale is a sequel to the VR only game by Playful, and it's one of the first 4k games for Microsoft's Xbox One X console, so it may end up being one of those games you get to show off your new console. Early impressions of the game are good, and I love it's style.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the sequel to Ori and the blind forest, which was an excellent Metroidvania style of platforming game. I expect this sequel to be just as good.

Finally Cuphead gets a release date. This game has been in development for quite some time, but it was pushed back when the developers decided to add platforming levels to what was at one point just a Boss rush type game. The boss fight gameplay has always looked cool, but the platforming bits didn't look as good when we were first shown an early preview. From the latest trailer it looks like they may have become more fleshed out, and are just as exciting as the boss fights.
